Her back hit something hard and she felt underneath the blanket to find a metal spoon. Stumbling back, she tripped over her feet and landed on the blanket. 'Stay away from me.' Brielle cried her throat scratched as she spoke. I thought what we had was special, magical even.' Hyunjin rose from the chair and stalked over to the cage. She wondered how long she has been in the cage. 'W-what?' Her voice was hoarse, and her throat felt like sandpaper. A light switched on and she covered her eyes with her hand shielding them from the blinding light. 'I didn't want to do that, but you left me no choice.' She heard a voice sound from the shadows in the corner of the room. A faint ringing was in her right ear and her hand went to her right temple touching the wound. Her fingers went to grip the wall as she stumbled to her feet.
Getting on her hands and knees, she crawled to the wall and with bloody fingers she touched the wall.
The pain in her head was brutal and she saw a book with dried blood on the bind lying on the floor just outside the wall of a glass case. Blood trickled down the side of her face and she winced as she stifled a cough. Brielle sat up, her head in a daze as the room spun.
